Understanding Liquidation Product Conditions

A plain-language reference for every condition grade used across the marketplace.

Why grading matters more than price

Condition determines your labor, your resale channel, and your realistic sell-through. Two lots at the same price per unit can produce completely different outcomes based on grade alone.

The grades in use

New: factory sealed and unused. Like New: opened or repackaged with no meaningful use. Overstock: unsold surplus, typically new. Shelf Pulls: unused with worn packaging. Customer Returns: mixed, sold as-is. Used: prior use with expected wear. Salvage: damaged or non-working, intended for parts or recovery. Mixed: multiple grades in one lot.

Reading condition notes

Every listing carries condition notes below the grade. Those notes are more specific than the grade itself and take precedence when the two seem to differ. If something is unclear, request a quote and ask before bidding.
