Liquidation Pallets

Liquidation pallets are palletized lots of merchandise sold in bulk below wholesale. They come from returns programs, overstock, shelf pulls, and closeout inventory, and they are the most common entry point for resellers buying liquidation inventory in the United States.

What you'll find

  • · Single pallets for testing a new sales channel
  • · Multi-pallet lots by department or category
  • · Manifested pallets with item-level detail
  • · Unmanifested pallets priced for higher-risk buying

Typical products

  • · Electronics
  • · Home & garden
  • · Apparel
  • · General merchandise
  • · Tools
  • · Toys

Before you buy

  • · Compare cost per unit, not just the total lot price
  • · Read the condition grade before assuming items are sellable as-is
  • · Budget freight, unloading, and sorting labor into your landed cost
  • · Estimated retail value is a reference point, not a resale forecast

Conditions and lot sizes

Condition grades

Pallets are graded as new, overstock, shelf pull, customer return, used, salvage, or mixed. A mixed pallet may contain several grades; the manifest, when available, breaks it down.

Lot sizes

A standard U.S. pallet is 48x40 inches, typically stacked between 4 and 7 feet high and weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs. Multi-pallet purchases often reduce freight cost per pallet.

Frequently asked questions

+What is a liquidation pallet?

A pallet of merchandise sold as a single bulk lot rather than by individual item. The goods usually come from retail returns, overstock, or discontinued programs.

+Are liquidation pallets profitable?

That depends entirely on the lot, your channel, your labor, and your freight cost. No marketplace can promise a margin, and any resale figure should be treated as your own estimate.

+Do I need a truck dock?

Not always. Many pallet shipments can be delivered with a liftgate for an added fee, but a dock or forklift makes receiving much easier.
