Pallet Shipping Guide
Dimensions, weight, freight class, and receiving requirements for palletized liquidation freight.
Standard pallet dimensions
The U.S. standard is 48x40 inches. Liquidation pallets are typically stacked 48-84 inches high and weigh 500-1,500 lbs. Overheight or overhanging pallets attract surcharges.
Freight class
Class is driven by density, stowability, handling, and liability. Denser goods generally class lower and cost less to ship. A quote generated from the listing accounts for the lot's actual weight and dimensions.
Receiving without a dock
Request a liftgate. The driver lowers the pallet to ground level, but you still need a pallet jack on a hard, level surface to move it. Gravel driveways and steep approaches often make delivery impossible.
